Instructions & Safety Infomation
Printing Instructions:
- Film Loading: Load the Resolute Premium Ultra DTF™ Hot Peel Film into your ULTRA DTF™ enabled V8 system.
- Adhesive Powder:
- Use the Resolute Stripe Blocking Adhesive Powder (Silver Grey).
- Empty any standard powder from the collection drawer and powder hopper.
- Place the Stripe Blocking powder in the bottom of the film loop with the spool. Do not place this powder in the top powder hopper.
- Collect the powder from the draw for reuse.
- RIP and PrintEXP Settings:
- Use your standard print queue in the Resolute RIP, imposing artwork in 70cm segments.
- Import the PRN file into PrintEXP software.
- Set white ink to two passes and reduce white ink level to 80% using the "Mul Ink" or "CUT INK" button.
- Curing:
- Set the top curing heater to 2/3rds or a dull glow.
- Ensure the white ink is gelled before reaching the powder area to prevent running.
- Curing temperature settings may need to be adjusted slightly, as each machine varies.
- Continuous Printing: Once printing begins, it must continue without interruption to prevent ink curing under the top heater.
- Initial Waste: Expect the first meter or so of film to be wasted due to potential imperfections.
Heat Pressing Instructions:
- Specific Settings Required: The Ultra DTF™ transfers require specific pressing conditions.
- Heat Press Settings:
- Recommended: 130°C (266°F) for 8 seconds, but this may vary.
- Verify heat press temperature consistency using a laser thermometer.
- Heat Press Bed Preparation:
- Place a cotton t-shirt or similar fabric on the heat press bed; do not place the garment directly on the rubber or silicone bed.
- Split the garment to only press one layer of fabric.
- Pressure:
- Use 3/4 pressure on a pneumatic press (high pressure).
- This ensures the Stripe Blocking powder melts and adheres to the fabric.
- Image Coverage:
- Cover the transfer with Resolute silicone paper; do not use Teflon or parchment paper.
- Peeling:
- Peel the transfer film swiftly back on itself after 2-4 seconds.
- Second Press:
- A second press (2-3 seconds) with silicone paper may be needed for some fabrics.
