Does DTF require any pre-treatmentDTF does not require pre-treatment as the binding agent (dtf powder adhesive) is applied to the back of the ink. They are manufactured work together in harmony, mixing other brands could effect print quality and durability.

What temperature can be used to wash DTF printsYou should wash garments with DTF prints applied to the garment recomendations or 40c. The prints are very durable and should not crack or fade if you adhere to these parameters. DTF prints can stand higher temperatures but it is advised to keep to the garment recomendations. If you do see any excessive fading, peeling or cracking this is a sure sign the transfer has either not been cured correctly or the heat press settings used were not correct for that fabric type.

What temperature and pressure to use when heat pressingFor cotton the ideal temperature is 160c for 15 seconds with medium to light pressure. Once prssed allow to cool them peel the film off. If any small particles of glue are showing a second press for 5 seconds with silicone paper should get rid of these. For polyester you will need to go cooler, start at 135c for 12 seconds with medium to light pressure. Allow to cool then peel off the film, a second press for 5 seconds with silicone paper covering the ink will get rid of any rogue glue spots. You can reduce the temperature down to 120c but this will need some testing as all fabics are different. Hot peel films are generally the same but with the difference of instantly peeling the carrier film off quickly once the press time is over.
